Plain English, and specific. This covers james-poindexter-iv.com and its tools: signing in, the live AI features, and browsing.
This site is run by me, James Poindexter IV, a systems consultant in Orlando, Florida. Questions about anything on this page go to james@james-poindexter-iv.com.
Signing in is optional on the public site. You only need it for more live AI than the couple of free uses a day every visitor gets. Sign-in goes through Google, on accounts.james-poindexter-iv.com, which is one sign-in shared by the tools on this domain, including Social Playbook for the people invited to it.

Signing in sets one cookie, jp_session, on james-poindexter-iv.com and its subdomains. It holds a random value and lasts 30 days, or until you sign out. Only a one-way hash of that value is stored, never the value itself. A second, short-lived cookie exists only while a sign-in is in progress, to make sure the sign-in finishes in the same browser that started it. Google asks for your permission to share your name, email and photo; the site asks for nothing else from your Google account.
Some tools use Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to answer live. They are marked with a small blue tile and the words Live AI, and every live answer is labeled as written by Claude. See which tools are live.
They share one daily allowance per person: a couple of free uses for visitors, and daily credits once you sign in.
What is sent to Anthropic. For a breakdown, the code you paste, with anything that looks like a password, API key or token removed first. For plate feedback, your photo and the details you type about the dish. In Social Playbook, the content you are working on and your profile’s voice and topics, and for ideas, your posts’ titles with their view and engagement numbers. Nothing else about you is sent. Anthropic processes it to write the answer under its commercial terms, which don’t let it train its models on what’s sent this way. See Anthropic’s privacy policy for how Anthropic handles data.
What is stored about each use. One usage record in the accounts database, holding a count and a cost, never the code, the photo, what you typed, or the answer. (Social Playbook does keep the content you save in your profile, because keeping it is that tool’s job; the usage record still holds none of it.)

Only the services that make the site work: Cloudflare (hosting, and the databases your account and usage records live in), Google (sign-in), Anthropic (the AI features), and Calendly (booking calls). I don’t sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use ad or tracking networks. I would only hand over information if the law required it.
Email james@james-poindexter-iv.com from the address you signed in with, and say you want your account deleted. Within 30 days I delete your account, every session, and any plan, and remove your account number from the usage records. I’ll reply when it’s done. You can also ask what the site holds about you, or ask for a correction, the same way.
To sign out without deleting anything, use Sign out on accounts.james-poindexter-iv.com. That ends the session and removes its record.
If this changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date. If the site ever takes payments, this page will say how before it does.
